Beta Pinene is a fresh, cooling terpene with a strong aroma of woody, resinous pine. Strains known for their content of Beta Pinene include Bubba Kush, ChemDawg, and Trainwreck. Isolated Beta Pinene can be naturally sourced from the resin of many types of conifer, including, as the name suggests, pine. Beta Pinene may also be sourced from the non coniferous camphorweed (Heterotheca) and big sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata). Beta Pinene is likely most recognized as a necessary component of turpentine, it is also popular as a flavoring agent. Studies suggest that Beta Pinene has the potential to act as a stabilizer, especially when used in conjunction with the terpene linalool.
